Technology

Technology is a great tool, but I have seen officers sitting in a parking lot with their head buried in the computer unaware of what is going on around them. In this day, and time with officers being ambushed, you can no longer lower your alertness. It is a dangerous trend as more agencies adopt mobile computer technology. We must train to avoid this problem. Technology is just a tool. We should not be so consumed by it that it becomes dangerous. Stay alert. Just something to think about.

I found Field Contacts, and really like the program. I use it to keep tract of contacts. Since the touch does not have a camera, I can take a picture with my cell phone, and email it to the touch to put in the field contacts. I like having suspect info on my touch.
