I started in Law Enforcement in 1984 as a US Army MP. Went into civilian Law Enforcement in 1987 and worked as a municipal Police Officer until March 1990. Have been a Deputy Sheriff since 1990 to present. Currently a Sergeant in the Traffic Unit. Traffic Crash Reconstructionist Trained, Motor Officer Trained, FTO Trained, Radar/Lidar /PBT trained, Instructor Trained in LIDAR, PBT, SFST, Traffic Training Topics, Police Academy Instructor, Former Drill Instructor at our academy (4 years), Adjunct Instructor for State Police in their CTAU / Intoximeter Program, Adjunct Instructor for Baltimore CO Police Traffic Training Team (PBT, SFST), Approximately 4,000 hours in additional police training (various topics) over 25 years. Serve on various Statewide Committee's and focus groups related to Traffic topics in Law Enforcement. Charter Member in the Maryland Crash Reconstruction Committee (MCRC), Currently Unit Supervisor for Traffic Enforcement Unit.
I am married to Cindy (my wife of 22 years) and we have two teenage daughters both in High School. I enjoy traveling anywhere but especially to european countries. I have been to many of the US States and many Carribean Islands, Mexico, Canada, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Monaco. I also enjoy going to the movies and enjoy just about any genre of movie but especially enjoy Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Mystery, Horror, and Drama. I have been in Law Enforcement for 25 years. I was also a Law Enforcement Explorer from 1980 to 1984 with both the Daytona Beach Police Explorers (Unit #22) rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel and the Volusia County Sheriff's Explorers leaving at the rank of Lt. when I went into the Army in 1984. I spent three years in the US Army MP's (Garrison/Law Enforcement Duty) at APG for three years 84' to 87'. I have since been involved with civilian Law Enforcement having served for two years on a local Police Dept. and then lateral transfering to the Sheriff's Office in 1990 where I have worked ever since. I was promoted to Corporal in 1995 and worked as a patrol supervisor for 2 1/2 years before transfering into the Traffic Unit where I have worked ever since. I was motor officer trained in April of 1998 and I currently Supervise the Traffic Enforcement Unit.

Hey Joe, The macaroni Grille was a great choice, from salad through desert. But our timing was terrible to get head home. Backups from there to the bridge, 2 1/2 hours later we made it back to the office An hour longer. THanks for the food tip.
