It worked out well, the firearm wasn't very old. I've had one time of all when it didn't work out, the silicone crumbled, but all the other times it works nicely. I'm not sure why it didn't work out the one time, probably operatior error, or old silicone.
That was the officer involved shooting where the guy came at the officer's with a sword so they dropped him. It was only about 100 degrees but there was humidity that made it hotter. We had to take a few water breaks. Fortunately it was a simple scene, all the rounds stayed in the body but one, and it fragged on its way out so there was no trajectory to do. It was those red-tipped .223 rounds that are made to frag once they're in the body, and they worked nicely. Very impressive round.
