Hi gals,

I guess I'll be the first to ask a question. I have a female Officer who has been out of the Academy for about two years now. She is a good Officer does her job very well, but heres the issue I'm having or shall I say the whole department is having.....She doesn't trust anyone and thinks everyone is out to get her. This is crazy to me,  her paranoia state of mind is effecting not only her shift but the rest of the department also.  I was wondering if anyone had any advise. My backs against the wall for sure. If I tell her somethings she done wrong she thinks I'm out to get her.  My thoughts are.....if you can't trust your fellow workers then maybe you are in the wrong line of work.....but is this being fair?

Hi Tonya,

Find out what her trust issues are and go from there.  Trust issues arise for a reason.  I am sure once you find out what they are, you will know how to develop ways to get your point across without putting her on guard.    You can't judge until you have walked in their shoes.
