Mike,
I have an investigator here in Phila. same name, Mike Jackson. He is involved with "Gang Investigations" in the School District. He should be on the site soon.

Join the South Carolina Gang Investigator's Association. Open to any currently certified law enforcement or corrections officer. The SCGIA is part of the National Alliance of Gang Investigators and has agents all across the country who may be able to assist you with training or resources. Go to www.scgia.com

NAGIA also does an International Gang Conference (World Summit) -- the 2009 event brochure is here - http://issuu.com/365advantage/docs/2009_nagia_world_gang_summit_bro...

There's also the National Gang Crime Research Center (NGCRC) in Chicago -- http://www.ngcrc.com/ that has an annual conference.
